What is the benefit to using a travel agent?

Using a travel agent is beneficial because they can contribute their experience and expertise to your vacation planning process.  They can educate you about and help you along the process itself. They can guide you based on personal experiences and the experiences of previous clients, introducing you to travel experiences you might not have found in your research.  Travel agents can also help you out if something goes wrong, and there’s nothing we haven’t seen before.  Forgotten passports, canceled flights, hurricanes — we have your back.  After the trip, we’re also around to hear funny stories, things you loved, and things you could’ve done without.  We like to get to know our clients personally here, so we can make your next vacation one you’ll enjoy even more.

Is there a cost to using a travel agent?

While there are some travel agents that charge additional fees, we at Great Escapes Travel do not impose any additional fees.  We are compensated for our work by the suppliers (hotels, car rental services, etc.) with no additional charges to our customers.  Your trip will cost the same (or less) if you book through us as opposed to on your own.

At what point in my vacation planning should I consult an agent?

We get calls from people at all points in the process.  If you just have a vague idea and want to hear a roundabout price, if you have a flight booked and are browsing hotels, or if you’re just brainstorming vacation ideas, please don’t hesitate to give us a call.
